Biography

Peter KF Krueger was born on the 22nd of February 1945. He was a student of Prof. Gerhard Schreiter at the University of the Arts Bremen from 1967 to 1971 and graduated as a sculptor. Continued as a painting student of Prof. Karl Heinrich Greune at the same university from 1971 to 1972.

Das FensterPKF Krueger has been active as an indepent painter and sculptor in Bremen since 1972. In 1975 PKFK won the first contest for "art in the public space" with his mural "The Window" (Grandma and Grandpa) at the Rembertiring, which became known world-wide. This was followed by 20 murals (an admiral's cupper, a yacht racing boat) in different German cities. Krueger exhibited his works in several different cities in the FRG, and also in other European countries such as The Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy and also Russia and Latvia. In 1979 PKFK received the career grant for painting of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. He is a founding member of the "Gruppe Gruen" (association of artists 'group green'), was member of the group until 1987 and rejoined the group in 2001. The gallery "Gruppe Gruen" closed down in 2005, but the artist group continues to exist. Numerous of PKFK's paintings and drawings are held in public and in private property.

In 1990 PKFKrueger founded the Artist Club North and held its presidency for seven years.

Peter KF KruegerIn 1981 PKF Krueger moved to Vegesack. He was given the Water Tower at Bermpohlstrasse 40 and developed it so that it could be used as his home. He lived and worked in Bremen-North for 23 years. Then the idea of developing the Rechtenfleth farmyard was conceived. In 2004 PKFK and his wife Hanne Riebau moved there and opened the "Kunst und Seminarhof Affinität". His studio, the exhibition room and several seminar rooms, which are all furnished with his art, can be visited at any time. Guests can stay over night. Up to 13 guests can use kitchen, dining room and three bathrooms. Also, a Tipi tent for archaic over night stays is available. Seminars for painting and drawing, sculpting, as well as for instictive archery are offered by PKFK in Rechtenfleth, which has a beautiful surrounding area.
