Project "Imaginary/Real"
Peter KF Krueger has already conducted several portrait projects in the past. For example the project "Imaginary/Real", where 100 people have paid 250EUR each, without knowing about the project details and what they would get in return. They were not disappointed. A larger than 60 square meter canvas picture of 100 portraits was later welded into a plastic tube and buried 5m deep under ground, to be opened 50 years into the future. For Krueger this project was also a psychological experiment to investigate how much trust people have towards an artist. Participants also received a pastell drawing of themselves, framed in a 50x70cm frame.
Peter KF Krueger Project "Church – Art and me"
Art project Krueger in the St.John's church in Sandsted: People are portrayed by Krueger. Identical sized paintings, acrylic paint on canvas (height 50cm, width 40cm), are mounted in an extending run on the southern inside wall of the church. The project will run for 3 years. The project is open to all who wish to participate, members of the local church get a 100EUR subsidy. The portraits also cost 300EUR, but they must be left to the church for one year. Non-members pay 200EUR and after one year the portrait can be released for another 100EUR to become the participant's personal property.
